Ice Arrojado Basit is a Manila based graphic designer and photographer.

At four, his very first art teachers were his father who did sketching as a hobby, and his grandmother who was then a retired gradeschool teacher. Shortly after learning to draw his basic stick figures of boys and girls and clouds and trees, Ice moved on to practicing more advanced sketchworks of landscapes, wildlife and fantasy creatures. Realizing his potential, his parents and relatives encouraged his creativity by giving him art books, pencils, crayons, paint, craft materials, and everything that would shape his skills, as presents.

Ice completed a certificate in Multimedia Arts from the First Academy of Computer Arts, before taking Journalism at the Manila Times School of Journalism. He then shifted to Advertising and then to Animation, at the Information and Communications Technology Academy or iAcademy.

Currently, he spearheads the design agency MadHouse Project Creative Society, a firm he erected with friends. Ice also completes the art duo "JIV" that specializes in esoteric artworks, and is part of the movement "DAPA" (Dahil Ako'y PAsmado), an art group advocating reactions to socio-cultural and general issues through poetry and visual art.

To finish my "massive" portfolio and finally get a job. A job would really solve most of my obstacles.

To complete my freelance projects and get paid so I could finish paying my loans.

To finally get back to painting. I have so much trapped inspiration that need to be let out, and I've been dreaming of my first one-man exhibit.

To finish the photo series with Angelo so we could finally do the photo exhibit that will rock the... world? LOL.

To commit to an advocacy. Perhaps on being GREEN. And to move for Art with a cause, definitely.

To be my best in all that I do, and to strive harder and make my mark. I am so way behind in terms of photography and ink and paint and CG and animation and filmmaking and poetry and creative writing and dance and music already. Darn. I seriously need to get my self exposed...

To start writing my cookbook. I think I'm ready to learn bartending tricks now, too.

To travel. Twenty three years and I still haven't left the country. Wish I could see the rest of the world before it ends, no?

To connect with old friends and new friends.

To find new love.
